HSBC to Celebrate 100 Years of Bangla Music
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Limited in Bangladesh is holding a musical event titled “Shoto Borsher Bangla Gaan” for the second time to celebrate the 100 years of Bangla music on February 23, says a press release.
A panel of cultural personalities including Dr Korunamaya Goswami, Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed selected a total of 40 songs from the last 100 years with two to three songs picked from each decade starting from 1905.
Mr Mahbub Ur Rahman, Corporate Banking Head of HSBC in Bangladesh, conceived the idea of the programme.
Popular artistes are expected to perform at the programme.
