Concert regales music lovers
Noted folk singer Momtaz and Close-Up 1 singers Rinku, Tania, Soma and Mukta enthralled a huge audience at a concert held at Mymensingh stadium on October 23. They rendered songs that are now the rage of the younger generation.
The over three-hour concert began in the afternoon. Some 30,000 people of varied age groups and professions flocked to the concert.
Alok Chitra Shilpi Sangsad (Ashis), National Small and Cottage Industries Samity jointly organised the programme.
Earlier, a short discussion was held with Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, vice-president of Ashis at the helm. Among others Mymensingh civil surgeon ASM Shamsul Alam; divisional forest officer Akbar Hossain; Ashis secretary, AHM Motalab; assistant police superintendent of Kotwali Model Police Station, Apple Mahmud; vice-president, National Small and Cottage Industries Samity, Nurul Islam Badsha were present at the discussion. The audience gave a huge applause to Momtaz and the Close Up 1 competitors.
